Boards of Canada – Music Has The Right To Children

From 1998, the full length debut album for Warp Recordings of the mysterious Scottish duo Boards of Canada. A personal landmark and still one of the most interesting listens within the electronica sphere. Blending found sound and archival recordings with their skewed hip hop beats and ambient drones, Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin created a blurred nostalgic record, which was perfectly summed up in it’s washed out photographic cover of a ghostly, faceless, family outing.

Featuring ‘An Eagle In Your Mind‘, ‘Turquoise Hexagon Sun‘ and ‘Roygbiv‘ some ethereal giggling and some strange counting.
