Iggy and the Stooges – Raw Power

From 1973, the Bowie mixed third album from Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Raw Power was not a big success on release, but over the years developed a cult following, later turning into mass appreciation, with Kurt Cobain and Johnny Marr named amongst it’s fans.

Featuring the blasts of hot energy that are ‘Search and Destroy’ and ‘Raw Power’ the album also features ‘Gimme Danger’, ‘I Need Somebody’ and ‘Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell’. The cover features a sweaty Pop, clutching his microphone stand in what has become an iconic image taken by the great music photographer Mick Rock.
